Konoba Valle Losca

Hidden in the Losca valley above Opatija — you'll need to walk uphill for this one, and it's absolutely worth the climb. Valle Losca is a proper konoba: grilled meat and fish over open flame, homemade bread that comes warm, and local wine served by the jug (not the glass, the jug). Stone walls, grape vines overhead, the sound of crickets. This is what Croatian dining is supposed to feel like.
