Hotel Navis

Navis is built into the cliff — your room window IS the wall, floor-to-ceiling glass with nothing but sea. It's the kind of hotel that makes you take 47 photos before you even unpack. The infinity pool hangs over the Kvarner Bay like it's daring you to find a better view. Spoiler: you won't. The spa is carved into the rock below, and the restaurant upstairs does surprisingly excellent food for a design hotel (usually those two things don't coexist). The location is slightly outside central Opatija, near Ičići, which is actually a plus — you get quiet cliffside serenity and the town is a 10-minute drive or a beautiful walk along the Lungomare. Best for: Instagram couples, architecture nerds, anyone who wants to stare at the sea from every possible angle.
