Opatija's harbor lights up with fireworks at midnight. Live music stages at two locations: harbor (pop/rock) and Hotel Kvarner terrace (jazz). Free outdoor event. Restaurants do special NYE menus (book by December 1 or forget it). The fireworks reflecting off the Kvarner Bay are genuinely stunning. (dates approximate, check back for confirmation)
