Volosko

Volosko is the little fishing village just east of Opatija that somehow ended up with better restaurants than its bigger neighbor. Cobblestone streets barely wide enough for two people, art galleries in converted fishermen's houses, and harbor views that make you want to sell everything and move here. Walk 20 minutes east on the Lungomare from Opatija center, or drive (parking is painful). Eat at Plavi Podrum or Molo while you're there.
